Brass Woven Wire Cloth

Low brass is the most popular brass alloy for wire cloth screens. With an analysis of 80% copper and 20% zinc, low brass offers good resistance to corrosion like copper although its electrical and thermal conductivity are lower. The tensile property of brass screen is higher than those of copper with some sacrifice in formability.

Brass resists atmospheric corrosion, water and many salt water solutions. A high percentage of zinc makes it stronger and more durable than copper and bronze.

Bronze is abrasion resistant and is well suited for exposure to most atmospheres. Its high copper content makes it more corrosion resistant than brass. It is also harder and stronger than copper.

Snake® Brand Brass Woven Wire Cloth specifications listed are normally available from stock for prompt delivery. Many other brass specifications can be produced according to requirements although a substantial minimum order will apply.
