PARSH NATH MANUFACTURERS PVT LTD makes woven brass mesh in-house in Delhi under the SNAKE® Brand. It is made from Low Brass wire, an alloy of 80% copper and 20% zinc, in counts from 2 mesh to 100 mesh, and the standard specifications are available from stock for prompt delivery.

Use this page to understand where brass mesh fits, how to pick a mesh count, and what to tell us when you order.

What Is Brass Mesh?

Brass mesh, or brass wire cloth, is made by weaving brass wire into an even grid. The wire diameter and the spacing decide how fine or coarse the cloth is. It is used for filtering, sieving and screening, and also for decorative and architectural work.

Why Choose Brass?

Low Brass resists corrosion and has higher tensile strength than pure copper, while staying easy to form. It is non-magnetic, non-sparking and has natural antimicrobial properties. Compared with bronze, which is harder and better in marine or highly acidic conditions, brass reaches comparable corrosion resistance at a lower price in many applications.

Low Brass 80% Cu + 20% Zn 2 to 100 Mesh Corrosion Resistant Non-Sparking Available From Stock

Picking the Right Mesh Count

Coarse cloth for screening. A 2 mesh cloth has an opening of 11.10 mm and an open area of 76.2%, and a 10 mesh cloth has a 1.90 mm opening.

Medium cloth for sieving and general filtering. Counts such as 20 to 40 mesh give much finer openings while still passing a good flow.

Fine cloth for precision filtration. A 100 mesh cloth has a 0.15 mm opening with 0.11 mm wire. As the count goes up the openings shrink and the open area falls, so choose the finest cloth your flow can tolerate.

Brass Strainer Cloth for Fluids

Brass mesh manufacturers - brass strainer screen cloth

Strainer cloth is a fine brass weave used in filters and strainers to remove solids from liquid or gas streams, for example oil or fuel. Typical counts run from 30 x 28 mesh to 100 x 69 mesh, with open areas between about 39% and 59%. See the brass strainer screen cloth page for the details.

Where Brass Mesh Is Used

Industrial filtration, sieving and screening, chemical and petrochemical processing, food and beverage processing, pharmaceutical screening, water treatment plants, laboratory sieves, oil and gas filtration, mining and quarrying, electromagnetic shielding, and decorative or architectural use.
