We supply three kinds of plaster mesh from Delhi: alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh made by Saint-Gobain Vetrotex India Limited, for which we are the authorized distributor in Northern India; polymer plaster reinforcement mesh from the Isolon® range, for which we are the sole distributor; and hexagonal wire netting, which we make ourselves under the SNAKE® Brand.
Which one you need depends on the wall and the finish. This page helps you decide.
Plaster is brittle. Where two materials meet, around openings or across large flat areas, it can crack as the wall settles or the weather changes. A mesh buried in the plaster layer holds the coating together and spreads that stress, so small movements do not open up into cracks and leaks.
This mesh is woven from fiberglass yarn and coated with alkali-resistant latex, so cement does not attack it. It is strong, water resistant, soft to handle and resistant to ageing.
It is used to reinforce walls, natural marble, plasterboard and artificial stone, in exterior insulation finishing systems (EIFS) and for internal and external wall finishing.
Widths are 4 inch, 6 inch, 8 inch, 12 inch and 1 metre, in several colours, and we can arrange custom sizes. Read more on our glass fiber mesh page or our Adfors fiber mesh page.
The Isolon® range, made by Perfect Polymesh, includes a plaster reinforcement mesh alongside geogrids, gabion mesh and nets for civil construction. Polymer mesh is rust proof and non-corrosive, so there is nothing in it to corrode inside the wall. See our plastic jali page for the wider polymer range.
Hexagonal wire netting, also known as chicken mesh, is used as a substrate for cement in brick-less walls and for reinforcement in roofs and floors. It comes in galvanized iron, galvanized iron drawn wire and stainless steel, with mesh from 1/2 inch to 2 inch. See our hexagonal wire netting page for sizes.
For crack control in a plaster coat, choose the fiberglass mesh and match the width to the area: narrow rolls for joints, 1 metre for full walls.
For a rust-free reinforcement in civil work, ask about the polymer mesh.
For a cement-backed wall without bricks, or roof and floor reinforcement, choose hexagonal wire netting.
Tell us where the mesh will go, the wall area, the width you need and the quantity, and ask for samples or a quote. Our office is at 162, Pushpanjali, Delhi – 110092, and our godown is at Pushta Road, Karawal Nagar, Delhi – 110094. We are available Monday to Saturday, 9.00am to 8.00pm.
We make hexagonal wire netting ourselves. The fiberglass plaster mesh is made by Saint-Gobain Vetrotex India Limited and the polymer mesh by Perfect Polymesh, and we distribute both for Northern India.
4 inch, 6 inch, 8 inch, 12 inch and 1 metre, with custom sizes on request.
The alkali-resistant latex coating protects the mesh from the alkaline conditions in cement and plaster.
Yes. The fiberglass mesh is used in EIFS and in both internal and external wall finishing.
